As a Senior Producer at NowThis (formerly Vox Media, currently Accelerate Change), I cover News That Matters. As an SP, I work on a spectrum of daily news content, long form investigative pieces, and partnered content. I help lead the team, make editorial decisions, edit scripts, and work with partners to create effective and engaging sponsored content. I'm pitching, writing, interviewing, scripting, producing, hosting, and working with editors to give feedback and create impactful social content, versioning the majority of my content to make it work across all platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook).
Currently, I work on the NowThis Impact page, dedicated exclusively to political content. We had the goal to get to 1 billion (yes, with a 'b') channel views before the 2024 Election with our coverage: My videos helped ensure we achieved that goal that in September, increasing our weekly engagement, viewership, and follower count by the millions.
On the page, I've contributed by becoming our unofficial 'voice' for reproductive rights, making content around the staggering number of abortion bans across the country, highlighting personal stories of victims of abortion bans, and more.
I've also created content around MAGA Extremism, criminal justice (in partnership with Zealous), and memes: It is a huge point of pride that I wrote the 'very demure' piece for Kamala Harris before the talented social team for her campaign did. Keeping up with viral trends, sounds, and memes is a huge 'must' for what content I create!
Other topics I've covered during the 2024 Election Cycle:
Examples of my work can also be found below. Please note: Nearly all of our videos are "versioned," meaning, versions are created for all social media platforms (version for Facebook, a version for TikTok, etc). If you would like to see specific examples of how my content was versioned, please contact me directly.
